Hi everybody,
I so appreciated your kind words and great suggestions on the survey you did for us. We so enjoyed being with you and offering the retreat. Thinking back I wish I'd said this or that differently, and been more clear or complete, but oh well. Next retreat. I have been working on the D.I.E.T Resource Guide and will let you know when it is out.
I thought of you today when I played around with the high protein pancake recipe again. :-)
A couple of you asked to enlarge on that comment on "water" so I will add a bit on that next post.
God bless you all,
Suzie
Do you often find yourself using food for the wrong reasons? This blog offers help. Posts give general spiritual, medical and dietary guidance and are written from a Christian perspective. "God led me out of that pesky habit, but not before I'd lost fifty pounds five times. Here's hoping this blog helps Christians enjoy their health again and stop hurting themselves with food." Dr. Suz
We have had a blessed journey to our new location. We were definitely in the airport and fast food world! I am thankful for all we learned at the retreat---we were equipped to "advance" to healthier choices, even in that environment! I prepared an egg white omelet for breakfast for my husband and I today and the last days at the house we had protein pancakes---next are soups since the temps are in the high teens by dinner time--love to all
ReplyDeleteI have been making soups too ever since the retreat. What is your favorite way to start a soup?
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed the Devotion for the healthy soul. I printed a copy so that I can read it when the munchies present themselves. My vulnerable time for overeating is the evening. Thankfully, now that I am eating 9 f/v a day and all the protein, I am usually full enough to forgo the snack.
ReplyDeleteWe had sweet potato and butternut squash soup---just coolked the cubed pieces in water until tender--put in a blender, then added a little broth to thin--added cinnamon and cumin and pumpkin seeds to garnish
